DETAILS

The course is in English language. It includes the theory and a practical session underwater on a trainings object for marine archaeology. You must hold a dive certification and bring your own dive equipment, drawing pens, rulers, divider and A3 drawing paper with millimetre increments. Your training underwater will be in buddy systems. With the successful pass of the exam at the end of the course, you will receive the international certification NAS 1 in foreshore and underwater archaeology.

With the beginning of the year 2006, the Ministry of Communications and Works / Department of Antiquities will launch an intensive national program for the protection of underwater cultural heritage, which includes underwater works on submerged ancient monuments (wrecks, buildings, constructions, artefacts, etc…). A few projects are already under way. Organisers of these archaeological projects seek divers with NAS certification.
