The search IN CYPRUS for a person missing since some months is extended to marine underwater habitats.

Approached by the family Brasal Marine Services Ltd. and AQUATEC - innerspace operations ltd. started the underwater search in the Limassol area.

The 1st investigation took place in a contaminated lake in Ypsonas, Limassol with Brasal's mobile ROV unit.

The operation was very difficult due to a 20 centimeter visibility, soft algae plugging the ROV thrusters, debris of trees and garbage, mud bottom and silt outs and surface invasion by mosquitoes. After an 8 hour search nothing was found.

The search was continued next day in the port of Limassol starting with the finalisation of the south pier and the north eastern basin corner. On both days family members and marine police attended the operations. The 2nd search of 8 hours did not reveal any findings.

DURING AN UNDERWATER EXERCISE NAVY DIVERS FOUND THE MISSING PERSON IN ITS CAR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE PORT OF LIMASSOL.
